I could’ve gone for a walk the moment that the taste of emotion became tempting…the moment that I felt my spine tying into knots.
I had to remake my bed to find a place to be.
The first time I raised my head the net between us was still hanging.

I couldn’t see the weeping bells, or the blueness of blue July’s sky.
I couldn’t feel the impermanent sunlight’s iridescence effortlessly breaching the canopy.
